Aorist participles
No augment! (1st aorist), (2nd aorist), (aorist passive).
Lessons Lesson 24 of 29
Read aorist and perfect participles and the genitive absolute.
No augment! (1st aorist), (2nd aorist), (aorist passive).
An aorist participle usually describes something that happened before the main verb: … , 'having heard, he marvelled'.
Reduplication + (active) or + (middle/passive): 'having been written'.
A noun + participle both in the genitive, not tied to the main clause: , 'while he was saying these things'.
+ participle can stand for a single verb form: , 'he was teaching'.

This lesson’s words, chart forms and parsings are spaced-review cards. Pass the drills above and they join your review, where each card comes back just before you would forget it. See step 7 for what this lesson adds.
Under each verse in step 6, write your own English and get feedback on each word. It doesn’t count toward the pass mark, so try it whenever a verse makes sense to you.
